The Egyptian National Institute of Astronomy and Geophysical Research announced that the stations of the National Seismological Network of the Institute recorded an earthquake at nine and nine minutes Cairo time on Saturday evening.

The quake struck 64 km east of Cairo.

The quake was of a magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale, with a length of 31.8628 and a latitude of 31.8628.

He also noted that the earthquake caused no material or human damage.
