A plane carrying journalists from Britain and America traveling to cover the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in South Africa has been delayed by 21 hours, according to the British Daily Mail website.

Shatrah attributed the delay to technical reasons that hit the Boeing 747, despite the passengers handing over their luggage.

The airline did not explain what it planned to follow in the overnight flight of 300 passengers.

The plane took off after waiting an entire day at the airport for Cape Town on an 11-hour flight.

Cape Town will be the first destination of Harry and Megan in the 10-day tour of the African continent including Botswana, Malawi and Angola.

A British Airways spokesman said the airline was paying close attention to passenger safety and apologized for the delay due to a technical failure.

He stressed that the company was keen to inform travelers on the developments of the situation on the go.
