The Mystery of the Dragon Seal
Five years after the release of the tape “Wii 3D”, the continuation of the story of the adventures of the cartographer Jonathan Green, the result of joint film production in Russia and China, is released.
Green, who had not had time to retreat after a trip to Little Russia, was sent to the East on behalf of Peter I (or rather, an impostor dressed in him). There, the cartographer will have to uncover a witching conspiracy, save the Middle Kingdom from the invaders, contribute to the liberation of the legendary dragon and reunite with her lover. In this he will be helped by a Chinese princess dressed as a boy and Peter I (already real).
Viewers will be able to track how the legends of different countries (for example, the European motif with an iron mask) influenced the script and find many quotes from Chinese mythology. Cast fully corresponds to the scale of the plot: Jason Fleming, Anna Churina and Charles Dance returned to the images of the British, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan and Rutger Hauer will also appear in the frame (the role in the film was one of the last for him) and others. In 2020, the release of the third part of the franchise - "Travel to India."
"Sister"
Six-year-old Yamil lives with his mother in a picturesque Bashkir village. He is serious beyond his years: his father performs feats at the Great Patriotic War, he has to be in the house for the main thing. “Mom, do you think I’ll pay? Here's another, ”the boy says, when his mother does not know why he is leaving for a distant city. “I’ll take care of the house and grandmother.” Yamil, with amazing efficiency for his age, carries out the errands of adults and is waiting for rare news from the front. Once, instead of the coveted letter, he receives a little sister - they bring little Oksana into the house, which his father saved in the war. Oksana does not speak Bashkir and is afraid of everything, but Yamil already loves her with all her heart. For complete happiness it is only necessary that the father write him a couple of lines.
The amazing, clean and kind “Sister” by Alexander Galibin is based on the story of Mustai Karim “The Joy of Our Home”. The role of Yamil was played by Arslan Krymchurin, Oksana - Marta Timofeeva.
Zeroville
Tarantino's film is followed by another journey into the Hollywood past. James Franco (as a director) sent James Franco (as a leading actor) to the 1969 Dream Factory in order to excite a bohemian society. At first glance, the tapes are very similar, but Franco much more carefully exploits the historical realities and images of famous personalities.
The minor characters are mostly nameless sponsors, actors and hippies. But at least four familiar faces will appear in the frame: Francis Ford Coppola (Oratio Sans), Patti Smith (Nina Lgeti), Dennis Hopper (Stuart Strauss) and Montgomery Clift (James took his younger brother, Dave Franco).
In the setting of the late 1960s, Franco raises topical issues. So, the main character, Ike Jerome, is autistic. He is an architect, but he came to conquer Hollywood, enjoy high society and, of course, make films. At first, the hero is lucky: he gets the work of an editor, but it soon turns out that he and the director of the picture have different views on the role of Ike in the creative process.
“Between Us Music” (Song to Song)
Another film about the path to fame and finding yourself. Fay (Rooney Mara) wants to become a famous musician. To do this, she starts an affair with producer Cook (Michael Fassbender), whose image is collected from stereotypes about the unpleasant rich. But suddenly, Faye meets BV (Ryan Gosling), an aspiring musician like her. Bright feelings flare up between them. Meanwhile, Cook finds Ronda (Natalie Portman) sharing his intimate tastes.
Foreign publications have already dubbed Terrence Malik's anti-La La Laendom Lena. Some critics consider the film the best work of the director since the "Tree of Life", released in 2011. It was important for Malik that the actors showed the most sincere emotions in the frame - therefore, the film was shot without a script.
"Sunday"
Official Terekhov (Aleksey Vertkov) from a provincial Russian town receives a “black mark”: a note with the text “You will die soon.” At first, he does not take it seriously - there are more pressing problems. For example, local protesters against cutting down trees in the park (Terekhov plans to convert it into the Moscow style), the heroically ill mother of the hero (Vera Alentova) persuades her to remain in the hospice, and her lover (Alexandra Reben) amazes with excessively eccentric gestures. But on Sunday morning, the hero’s life begins to roll aggressively downhill ...
During the work on the film, the director Svetlana Proskurina turned to Tolstoy and religious motives. According to her, the knock at the beginning of the film symbolizes "the beginning of Calvary, the hammering of the cross."
Each frame of the film was carefully considered, rehearsals took seven months. It is known that Proskurina also did not allow strangers to the site, so as not to destroy the creative unity of the film crew.
Elephant
The writer Valentin Shubin (Alexey Guskov) once invented good stories about the elephant, on which more than one generation grew up. Now the image of the author is very at odds with the tonality of his works: he is an extremely cynical person who uses the talent for mastering the word only to offend others.
The hero does not refuse this pleasure, even when he is seriously ill. At this very time, a philanthropist from France appears (Frederic Begbeder), who loves Shubin’s books very much and is looking forward to continuing. In return, he promises to solve all the health problems of the writer. The benefactor immediately puts a nurse Tosya (Polina Agureeva) at Shubin, whose attitude to life has nothing to do with the hero’s aggressive attitude.
Alexei Guskov previously worked with Frederick Begbeder during the filming of the film "Ideal" (where the latter acted as a screenwriter and director). The Russian actor recalls that he was going to abandon the secondary role, but fell "under the charm of the individual." On the set of "Elephant" cooperation continued. In his Instagram, Guskov called the tape "a movie of good mood."
“Rambo: Last Blood” (Rambo: Last Blood)
The story of a war veteran who is harassed by the safety of loved ones, friends and the whole country will finally find the final. The franchise, launched in 1982, saw four things in four parts: the death of Colonel Trautman, the performer of the role, Richard Krenna, and collaboration with James Cameron (the director of Titanic and Avatar had a hand in the script for the second part). On the set of the fourth film in 2007, the director's chair was taken by Sylvester Stallone. Now he handed over the post to Adrian Grünberg (“Happy Holidays”), and he took up the script and, of course, played the main role.
Rambo will shed his last blood to save a niece of a close friend: he spent the last years on a ranch in Arizona, where he talked with a woman named Maria and took care of little Gabriella with her. The girl was in trouble, going to Mexico in search of her father. Rambo will have to fight the criminals who sell people and keep sex slaves.
It is interesting that the writer David Morrell, who made the film based on the novel, was inspired by the name of the apple variety and the name of the French poet Arthur Rimbaud when choosing the name of the main character. The name - John - went to the character from the heroes of patriotic songs of the American Civil War (and it only appeared in the film).
The Room of Desires (The Room)
