The Federal Health Awareness Center has warned that sitting too long, such as on flights or traveling by car, raises the risk of stroke, especially in people with vascular problems such as diabetes.

Lack of movement prevents the return of blood from the leg to the heart, causing blood clots, thus blocking blood vessels partially or completely.

Symptoms of leg clot are the blue color of the skin, the emergence of subcutaneous vessels, swelling, feeling of tightness and pain in the lower leg, fever, and high heart rate.

The doctor should be consulted urgently when observing these symptoms to prevent blood clots from getting into the lung, causing a stroke of the lung, which is life-threatening.
