Every year on September 19th, International Pirate Day is celebrated, or, more precisely, Pirate Imitation Day. In 1995, two Americans came up with it - Mark Summers and John Baur, after one day they started jokingly talking among themselves as pirates. Since then, the festival has grown to international proportions and has gained immense popularity: people all over the world organize carnivals, dress up as pirates, practice pirate slang and review their favorite films on this subject.
