Accounts set up by Kyoto Animation and Kyoto Prefecture have received a total of nearly 2.8 billion yen in donations by the 17th.
Of these, over 80,000 donations were sent to the account established by Kyoto Animation, for a total of approximately 2,563 million yen.
In addition, there are more than 470 recipient accounts established by Kyoto Prefecture from 9th of this month, and donations of approximately 228 million yen have been received.
Donations from the Kyoto Animation account will be transferred to a dedicated account in Kyoto Prefecture in the future, and the entire amount will be distributed to the bereaved family and victims.
Kyoto Prefecture and other organizations accept donations until the end of next month.
