Launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council in 2017, the Dubai Sports Challenge is returning to its third session, which will begin on 18 October.

The third edition, which runs until November 16, is expected to be the largest, with a wide range of sporting events to be held at various city-wide locations for 30 days.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge aims to inspire and encourage Dubai residents and visitors of all ages, interests and fitness levels to engage in a variety of sporting activities to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The 2018 edition saw a 34% growth in the number of participants, compared to the opening session in 2017 and attracted more than a million participants.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge, which aims to attract over one million participants, encourages all public and private entities and institutions to encourage employees, their families, friends and colleagues of all ages to participate in the Dubai Fitness Challenge. This initiative is organized through a series of sports activities and events dedicated to them.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge is open to all participants of all ages with a range of activities to be held in two dedicated fitness villages, fitness centers, free facilities and sports areas across the city. In addition to fitness activities, this year's challenge also focuses on general physical health as part of its activities to be provided to participants.
