From September 18 to 24, for a place bought, the cinemas donate a meal to the Restos du Coeur. A new operation that Romain Colucci, son of Coluche came to present to Wendy Bouchard on Europe 1 Sunday.

INTERVIEW

35 years after Coluche's call on Europe 1, the Restos du Cœur adventure continues. At the microphone of Wendy Bouchard, her son Romain came to present the new operation launched by the association to raise funds: "Cinema has heart". From September 18th to 24th, for a movie theater bought, it's a meal offered to Eating, one euro. And "the whole industry will play the game" welcomes Romain Colucci.

The National Federation of Film Publishers (FNEF), the National Federation of French Cinemas (FNCF), the Union of Independent European Distributors (DIRE) and the Union of Independent Distributors (SDI) have decided to join forces with the 'association. This corresponds to nearly 2,000 screens in France. "It's a nice gesture that distributors give us by redistributing the equivalent of a meal for a ticket bought. There is still a lot to do but we can help and make small gestures like these".

Return to the original call

For the occasion, the promotional spot of the operation resumed the call launched on Europe 1 by Coluche on September 26, 1985. "The idea was to use his message launched in a studio that today carries his name "explains Romain Colucci, 13 years old at the time. "It was a great idea to pay tribute to the original call, the one who created the Restos du Coeur." But never had Coluche's son thought of taking up the torch until today. "I realize that the time has come and I answer my turn."

Pay tribute to volunteers

Last year, the Restos du Coeur distributed nearly 130 million meals to the poor. It's almost fifteen times more than launching the association. An "economic miracle" impossible without the 72,000 volunteers according to Romain Colucci. "We also do it for them because they need visibility, they give themselves a lot, if we have a meal bought, stored and distributed to one euro, it's thanks to them. 'we must thank.'
