Thieves stormed Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of the late British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and stole an 18-carat gold toilet, worth an estimated £ 1 million, which was on display at an art gallery.

A police statement said the thieves stole the toilet, caused extensive damage and left early, Bloomberg reported.

A 66-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, but the stolen toilet has not yet been recovered.

According to the statement, the police are conducting a thorough investigation to find out who committed the theft and bring him to justice.

It is noteworthy that this golden toilet was carried out by Italian artist Maurizio Catellan, whose works are displayed in the palace.

Blenheim Palace is a World Heritage Site and was established more than 300 years ago.
