On Thursday, Go'kväll's responsible publisher, Bengt Strömbro, confirmed that the book tips in the program will return this spring. Last January. But it is still unclear whether the popular literary critic Ingalill Mosander will come back.

According to SVT's program commissioner for lifestyle and entertainment programs, Peter Nyrén, there is currently no decision on this. And Ingalill Mosander tells the Culture News that she has not been asked to continue.

- It is quite clear that SVT has underestimated the viewers' reading interest. It is quite obvious, and gratifying, that people are so interested in it. But I do not think that SVT understood, says Ingalill Mosander.

Mosander effect

However, in the criticism generated by Go'kväll's "book break" extensive support has been directed towards Ingalill Mosander. She has been at Go'kväll for many years and is a critic whose book tips are said to influence library lending and book sales. The so-called Mosander effect:

- It is really the only program where we can see that bookstores can be pleased to recommend a book, says Dorotea Bromberg at Bromberg's book publisher for the Cultural News.

Changed and rejuvenated

According to Ingalill Mosander, the reason why Go'kväll's book tips are paused is part of a rejuvenation work within the program format.

- The program would be changed and rejuvenated, and it would have no book tips. So it was over for me, she says.

But that does not mean the software client Peter Nyrén:

- We do not believe in any special rejuvenation, but Go'kväll has a very established target group from 45 years onwards, he says.
