This is a small event: Isabelle Adjani has put her voice on a composition of the electro duo The Penelopes, for a single that will be released in digital on October 25, said Thursday the press service of the French formation.

A short excerpt from the first 51 seconds of "Meet me by the gates" was unveiled: we hear first the delicate voice of the actress, in English, in a waffled atmosphere, soon joined in duet by the more serious timbre Axel Basquiat (half of The Penelopes with Vincent Trémel).

The press service, contacted by AFP, did not want to say if the movie star sang on a whole album to be released soon or just on a title.

The title announced in October has been mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London by Miles Showell, who has worked with Lana Del Rey or Portishead.

Isabelle Adjani has already rubbed shoulders with the musical universe, especially during a collaboration with Serge Gainsbourg which resulted in an album of eleven songs including two flagship titles: "Marine Sweater" and "Ohio", in 1983. For a huge success.

On the other hand, an album announced with Pascal Obispo, whose actress had even spoken in February 2005, never saw the day, even if the title "Of agreement", with the two artists and Youssou N'Dour, was published in 2018.

Meanwhile, his voice has also been heard on a few occasions, such as on the title "Let me freak out" of The Aikiu, Parisian indie band, in 2013, where his eldest son Barnabé is.
