Disney has exclusively released its Disney + streaming service in the Netherlands. Users can find the app in both the Android and iOS app stores and try the service before the streaming service is released worldwide in November.
With Disney +, users can stream and download movies and series from the Disney empire, including Marvel and Star Wars productions. In some cases the productions have Dutch audio.
The films Star Wars: The Last Jedi , Avengers: Infinity War , Beauty and the Beast , Incredibles 2 , Maleficent , Mary Poppins Returns , Finding Nemo , Pirates of the Caribbean , Frozen , Bambi and the original The Lion King are on the view the service.
In March, the American news site The Information already predicted that Disney wanted to use the Netherlands as a testing ground for its service. By testing Disney + first in the Netherlands, the company would like to prevent technical problems from entering the competitive American market.
Disney + will be released on November 12. From that moment the service costs 6.99 euros per month and the range is expanded with new productions that can only be viewed via the streaming service.
Users' subscription during the trial period is automatically converted into a paid subscription if they do not cancel it before or on November 11.
