Significantly overloading the specified weight Suspected of instructing truck operation President arrested September 11, 16:08

The president of a steel company in Fukushima City was arrested on suspicion of directing the truck to load and carry steel that was significantly above the prescribed weight.

Arrested by Mr. Masaki Watanabe (51), president of a steel company in Nakako, Fukushima City.

According to the police, in July, there was a suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Law when instructing employees to carry 6.5 tons of steel, which exceeds the maximum loading capacity of medium trucks, 3.9 tons.

The police were conducting an investigation following an accident in which about 20 pieces of steel fell from the carrier of the medium-sized truck on the national road in Fukushima.

The police are investigating that there is a suspicion of loading more than the maximum load to save money, and calling on transporters in Fukushima Prefecture to thoroughly prevent overloading, such as checking the cargo.
