Halina Reijn and Carice van Houten have acquired the film rights of Roxane van Ipenens book 't Hooge Nest with their company Man Up.

't Hooge Nest is a true story about the Jewish sisters Brilleslijper, who were in the resistance during the Second World War. A villa in the woods of Naarden grew under their leadership into one of the largest hiding places in the country.

The book was published in November last year and is already 41 in the Bestseller 60 book list. The book's foreign rights have been sold to, among others, England, Spain and Italy.

Reijn and Van Houten are currently in Toronto, where their film Instinct is being shown at the film festival. Reijn makes her directorial debut with Instinct and Van Houten plays a leading role.
