After Rolf Lassgård, Krister Henriksson and Kenneth Branagh, it is now actor Adam Pålsson who plays Henning Mankell's police, Expressen writes in his television blog.

Young Wallander plays out before Wallander became the divorced police officer of a mature age that the books are about. When the series begins, Kurt Wallander is in his 20s and recently graduated.

- The series portrays Wallander when he has recently left the university. He is a uniformed police officer. Henning Mankell wrote about this period, before Wallander becomes the Wallander we know of. So in that way it's a "becoming Wallander" story, Adam Pålsson tells Expressen.

The series will be in English language and will be done in six episodes to be shown next year. Recordings are ongoing in Vilnius. Jens Jonsson is responsible for the reign.
