Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has assumed her duties as President of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai.

In response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Her Highness has formed a working group to prepare the new vision for the Authority, which will be presented to His Highness the Vice President within a month.

The new vision of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai aims to put in place mechanisms and strategies that will make Dubai a global center for culture and creativity in line with its global financial and economic status.

Talent support

The Dubai Performing Arts Program is continuing its activities with the second stage of the Performing Arts Program (Performance and Acting), which was launched in the first week of September, within the framework of an integrated academic art program that specializes in supporting theatrical, film and musical talents, organized by the Culture and Arts Authority. In Dubai, the technical training workshops are held under the supervision of a group of specialized trainers from inside and outside the UAE.

For 20 days, various workshops are organized at Hor Al Anz Public Library. The workshop «Physical Preparation» presented by the theatrical player Jassar Kaddour reacted remarkably because of the new skills.

Empowering New Generations

In the workshop «Art Representative» participants learned the basics of this art, and acquired a variety of skills with the trainer artist Mohamed Said Salti. While Khaled Galal will present the workshop «Preparing the actor», which is a practical study on improvisation, and reviews the experience of the Center for Artistic Creativity in Cairo, and how to make stars, and focuses on ways of studying the personality before diagnosis and presentation, and help the actor to identify his abilities and areas of strength to invest the best And to use it in the service of art work, and how to make it through improvisation, and also shed light on the role of the actor and director in the art work industry. The workshop will continue until next Thursday.

The Dubai Performing Arts Theater Workshops enrich the creative outcome and enhance the artistic taste of the participants, contributing to the establishment of a strong theater infrastructure, enabling new generations, taking their hands towards professionalism in the fields of performing arts, and contributing to the creation of a true artistic product reflecting the culture and identity UAE.

Theatrical skills

The second phase of the program continues with the workshops «silent theater» and «sound performance», and through which the trainees acquire all the skills of the theater, such as the art of gesture, breathing, sound, pronunciation and language, and others, to be the workshops held the conclusion of the second phase of the Dubai Performing Arts Program.

The workshops are part of Dubai Culture's preparations to launch the 13th edition of the Dubai Youth Theater Festival 2020.
