Two girls were swept away at the river in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture on the 7th, and they were taken to the hospital.

At 0:30 pm on the 7th, a neighbor reported to the fire department at the Yahagi River in Ikejima-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, saying that “people drowned in the river”.

The fire department rescued two girls who seemed to be about elementary school students who were washed away by the river and carried them to the hospital by a doctor helicopter, both of which were unconscious bodies.

Also, according to the fire department and police, two adult men and women were swept away at the same place, but they both went up to the shore on their own and were conscious.

The police are investigating the detailed situation at the time. The site is near the river station Ikejima in the middle of the Yahagi River, where men were washed away and died last month.
