After 2:00 pm on the 7th, a teacher from Hakkai Junior High School in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture reported to the fire department that the students were feeling sick during the athletic meet.

When the fire department visited, 12 students who had an athletic meet in the schoolyard of a junior high school were transported to the hospital complaining of symptoms that seemed heat stroke, and one student who complained of poor physical condition was taken to the hospital after returning home about it.

According to the fire department, the 13 people who were transported were conscious and none of them had a difference in their lives.

According to Hakkai Junior High School, all school students participated in the athletic meet from the morning on the 7th.

Niigata Prefecture on the 7th had a fierce heat of over 35 degrees in various places, and in Uonuma City next to Minami Uonuma City, the highest temperature of 36 degrees and 4 minutes was observed, the second highest in the country before 2pm.
