According to Gifu Prefecture, a pig farm in Nakatsugawa City on April 4 reported that one mother pig and several piglets were dead, and inspected 13 of the pigs raised in this pig farm. As a result, it was confirmed on the 5th that they were all infected with swine cholera.
About 80 piglets have died one after another from this month on this pig farm, but they did not report to the prefecture as “no abnormal pigs”.
Gifu Prefecture asks pig farms in the prefecture to report the number of dead pigs and whether there are any abnormalities in the pigs twice a day, and the prefecture listens to the relevant parties to find out more details.
