UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, with more than 100 young men and women from 19 Arab countries participating in the Young Arab Media Leaders Program Youth at Emirates Towers in Dubai, organized by the Arab Youth Center to train a selection of young Arab media talents in cooperation with 40 regional and international media institutions.

During his meeting with the participating youth, His Highness stressed the importance of youth's commitment to the ethics of journalism, taking into account the human and moral values ​​that he described in the spirit of the mission of the profession.

His Highness said: “You are all responsible for the image and reputation of the Arab world. "The real journalist is the one who searches for information in the field and transmits it with his pen and lens to the world."

His Highness called on participants to take advantage of the large regional and international media presence in the UAE, which hosts thousands of media institutions and thousands of journalists and experts from around the world, stressing that the Arab Youth Center, led by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, He has opened all doors in partnership with media organizations for youth creativity, will ensure the transfer of interest and dissemination of experience and adopt creative talent and provide them with all the necessary support.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi and Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

The Young Arab Media Leaders Program is the largest initiative to develop the capacity of youth in the field of media, which seeks to reduce the gap between what is presented by media institutes and colleges and the requirements of the labor market. Major media, which contributes to form a clear vision for the future of their work and to know in practice the mechanisms of media work and to identify future trends in the sector.

Young media professionals from Oman, Morocco, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Syria, Comoros, Kuwait, Algeria, Sudan, Yemen, Bahrain, Mauritania, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, UAE and Libya will participate in this year's edition.

Since its inception in 2017, the Young Arab Media Leaders Program has succeeded in preparing, qualifying and refining the skills of more than 300 young men and women from media colleges across the Arab world, by providing them with knowledge and training on international best practices in the field to contribute to the development of the Arab media sector.
The program also contributed to providing dozens of job opportunities for participants in a number of media organizations in the UAE and the Arab region.
