TechCrunch, a specialized technical website, published a report in which it was quoted from sources within Facebook tested and Instagram hiding the Like button on some publications.

A spokeswoman for Facebook told Business Insider that the company is considering eliminating the number of likes on publications to treat the addiction case. Some people get more likes in their posts, but they have not been posted to any users for an experiment.

It is expected that the name of a friend who liked the post will appear below the post, followed by the word "others", but the number of "likes" will not appear in the post.

These changes come after lengthy talks between technology companies about how social media and apps make people happy.

A number of key former employees of both Facebook and Google said they regretted the products they helped create.

Lea Perelman, the woman who helped create the LIKE button on Facebook, told Ranger that she noticed that constant social media notices made her feel bad and regretted his design and turned it into an addiction.

YouTube announced that it will shorten the number of subscribers, which means that channels with a large number of subscribers will not display the exact numbers.
