Organized by the Government of Sharjah's Information Office from September 19 to 22 at the Expo Center Sharjah, the International Photography Festival (Expoger) 2019 brings together world-class photographers.
Four of the world's leading photography professionals include Steven Wilkes, France Lanting, Gabriel Wickbold and Will Burrard Lucas, whose works are being exhibited for the first time in Sharjah with exhibitions at the festival.
The festival opens a window for photography enthusiasts in the UAE, to learn about the international work crafted by their lenses, and to allow them to attend a series of panel discussions and workshops in which the stars of photography share the details of their artistic career, and reveal the correct techniques they have adopted to take pictures.
For his part, said the Director of the Information Office of the Government of Sharjah, Tariq Saeed Alay: «The festival is attended by a group of senior Arab and international photographers, who have contributed to the establishment of new stages in the field of photography through its expertise and experience, which has established the importance of the image as a gateway To connect the different communities, and dedicated to the aesthetics of nature and the entanglement of human emotions, we are keen to provide an opportunity for the public in the region to see these experiences closely and learn about ».
