A criminal court in southern Egypt sentenced a teacher to death by hanging for killing his wife on suspicion of her moral behavior.

The verdict was headed by Chancellor Fawaz Ibrahim Mohammed, and the membership of advisers Wael Jamal al-Din al-Ashlam, Mohammed Mustafa al-Banna, and the secretariat of Ahmed Jamal.

The security services at Qous police station received a report in August 2017 that the body of Riham S., 29, a housewife with stab wounds in the neck, was found inside her home in al-Shawader area in Qus, and the body was taken to hospital.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal detectives revealed that she was stabbed by her husband, "Ahmed AA", 37, a teacher, in different parts of the chest, abdomen, back and neck inside her home in the district of Qus, according to the network.

Investigations explained that the suspect "sterile", and that made him much doubt in his wife despite her good behavior, he was making problems with her until her menstrual cycle was delayed for several days, he thought she carried a thug with a child, so he decided to get rid of her by stabbing her during her sleep and then fled.

The forensic report proved that the wife did not have a fetus in her abdomen.

The security forces in Qena were able to arrest the defendant and refer him to the Public Prosecution and then to the Criminal Court.
