André Rieu releases his new album Happy Days on November 22. With this, the violinist and conductor is celebrating his seventieth birthday, he says on his website.

"With this I hope to pass on the joy of life that I feel every day to people all over the world. I cordially invite you to celebrate life and love with me," said Rieu.

One of the new songs on Happy Days is Second Waltz , the number that the born Maastrichtian broke through in 1994. The album becomes "a deeply romantic but no less cheerful homage to Vienna, the city that may have played the most important role in Rieus's career."

Rieu was born on October 1, 1949, the son of a conductor. This formed his love for classical music.
