In celebration of Sharjah as a special guest at the 32nd edition of the Moscow International Book Fair 2019, the Moscow Art Theater (Gorky) will host, on September 5th, the play «Nimrud» by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, through which A series of humanitarian issues and conflicts recall the story of one of the most famous kings in history.
The play, which came from the scenography and directed by the Tunisian artist Moncef Souissi, and the organization of the Sharjah National Theater of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, tells the story of Nimrud bin Kanaan, ruler of Babylon and the king of the Kingdom of Assyria, which has spread injustice and tyranny and bloodshed innocent and peaceful people of Babylon, to remain in the pages of history The work deals with the story of a mosquito entering the brain of the Nimrod that threatened his life and the corners of his kingdom, so that his treatment of beating shoes on the head of the poor and the oppressed at his request to remove the mosquito, in an explicit call to take the lesson and cues from Rech.
The starring role of the play is Emirati artist Ahmed Al Jasmi (Nimrod), one of the entourage of King Dahhak, Mohammed Jumah (Informer of the Dahhak King), Abdullah Masood (Commander of the Nimrod Army), Ahmed Abdul Razzaq (Minister of Nimrod), Abdullah bin Haider (Kabi Al Haddad), and Mohammed Yusuf (King Saleh, owner of the treasury of Nimrud), and a constellation of the brightest Emirati and Arab actors, and the artist Mohammed Al-Amiri oversees the artistic management of the work, and the development of its soundtrack musician Ibrahim Amiri.
The Arab Library is full of theatrical works of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, where he issued a set of narrative and theatrical works including the return of Hulagu, the case, and indeed a mirror image, Turgut, Samson Jabbar, Alexander the Great, Nimrod, Black Stone, and many other books Elan.
The organization of the play «Nimrod» during the participation of Sharjah is a special guest on the activities of the Moscow International Book Fair, where the Emirate registers the first honoring of an Arab city in the history of the exhibition, which will be held during the period from 4 to 8 September, to be Sharjah ambassador of the UAE and Arab cultures in the Russian Republic.
