The Kalima Translation Project at the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi is participating in a diverse cultural program at the Moscow International Book Fair, which will be held from 4-8 September in the Russian capital.

During the participation, the project will present a busy program prepared by Kalima Reading Club, which will include a number of cultural seminars and events.

Kalima Translation Project launches on the first day of the exhibition the Russian version of the book "Words of the Leader", selected from the words of the founding father, a selection of the words of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, reflecting the foundations upon which The German version of the book was launched at the Frankfurt International Book Fair last October, and the English version at the London International Book Fair last March.

Kalima celebrates on the second day the most important translators who presented the most outstanding Russian works to Arabic. Abu Bakr Yousef and dr. Sami Al-Droubi, the late Egyptian translator Abu Bakr Youssef will be celebrated in recognition of his cultural heritage, through a seminar focusing on the most important stations in his biography and highlighting his achievements in the field of translation from Russian to Arabic, especially as he presented works for leading Russian writers and authors such as Chekhov and Kobrin Waitamatov. Jamal Abu Bakr Yousef, Maher Salameh and Raed Jabr will participate in the seminar. A seminar on Sami Al Droubi will be held at the Abu Dhabi Book Fair 2020, where Russia will be the guest of honor for the 30th edition.

On the third day of «Moscow Book», a seminar will be held to talk about the project «Kalima» translation and publications in Russian, with the participation of both d. Matthew Elliott and Igor Gregok. On the fourth day, a symposium will be held in cooperation with the Emirates Space Agency to discuss the translations of Kalima in the field of space, with the participation of the Chief Executive Officer of Innovation at the Emirates Space Agency, Sheikha Al Maskari, and the Acting Executive Director of the Book House Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Majid Al Ali, moderator Mohammed Hassan Al Marzouqi.

On the final day of the Moscow International Book Fair, the Kalima translation project will announce Russian works that will be translated into Arabic next year.
