A new breath for "The Voice": TF1's flagship program will fully renew its team of coaches for its 9th season, welcoming Marc Lavoine, Lara Fabian, Pascal Obispo and Amel Bent, announced Friday the channel and the production of transmission.

This is a new quartet that will settle in the famous red armchairs of the telecrochet: Marc Lavoine and Lara Fabian had never participated in the show, while Pascal Obispo had been coach during the 7th season. As for Amel Bent, she goes from "The Voice Kids" to "The Voice".

This new team, whose members have sold more than 45 million records together, succeeds Julien Clerc, Jenifer, Mika and Soprano.

"In line with the positive and unifying values" of The Voice

"These new coaches are great artists who have marked the French song, they are in line with the positive and unifying values of a program like The Voice, and I am happy to welcome them," said Nikos Aliagas, who presents the show, with Karine Ferri behind the scenes.

Other great performers like Florent Pagny or Zazie were also coaches before them. The broadcast dates of this 9th season have not been announced yet.

This casting change, to which will be added "many surprises", as promised a release from the producer, ITV Studios France, could give a new impetus to this singing contest, more and more challenged by the competition, such as Eurovision on France 2.

Decreasing audiences

If it remains a flagship TF1 program draining a wide audience, which has hatched new artists (Louane, Kendji Girac ...) and generates large sales of records, its audiences are eroding in recent years.

They fell for the first time under the 5 million viewers on average during the 8th season, and its last final (which was broadcast this year on a Thursday, instead of Saturday night, a less favorable position for a very family program) n 'had gathered' only '3.4 million fans.
