Comedian Michel Aumont, honorary member of the Comédie-Française, died Wednesday at the age of 82, announced his family Thursday. Francis Huster had shared the scene of the Comédie-Française with the actor in 1973.
"I keep a wonderful memory because Michel gave his whole life to the great classical repertoire", expresses Francis Huster with emotion. "His way of interpreting was overwhelming: I remember in Claudius of Hamlet or Volpone at the Odeon, of a true generosity" he continues
"There are two or three big players of this generation"
The actor is marked by "two or three great actors of this generation": "I think of this genius Daniel Prévost, Michel Serrault. There were two actors on stage: the actor who always interprets his role beautifully and an amused distancing that we see in these actors.
Francis Huster tells with amusement an anecdote shared with Michel Aumont: "I remember a play like Volpone where half of his face smirked deliberately to make me laugh while we were in a terrible scene. are 20-year-olds who, after the war, managed to find in those years that life was wonderful and we had to give everything to the theater.
