The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has launched the Ousha Bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi Award for Nabataean Poetry, in honor of the poetry legacy of the “Arab Girl”, in honor of her poetic status and talent, and to consolidate the role of Emirati women and their influential presence in the cultural and literary arena. The launch of the award comes in conjunction with Khalaf Al Habtoor, a businessman, to coincide with the UAE's celebrations of UAE Women's Day, which falls on August 28 each year, as an honorable UAE icon and icon for women of the nation.

The annual award will be supervised and fully managed by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development by a specialized committee which will be formed at a later stage.

Al Kaabi pointed out that the award will contribute to the discovery of young poetic talents in the local literary scene, and will provide an opportunity for talented people in the literary field to hone their skills and develop their abilities and knowledge, through poetry systems inspired by the legacy of the late, so that her poetry and her legacy will remain alive in the hearts of the younger generations.

Khalaf Al Habtoor said: `` The modern history of the UAE is rich in great women who have left a historic impact on the poetry, culture and society of the UAE as a whole '', expressing pride in the poet Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, a literary stature and a great symbol in Nabati poetry, where her poems enrich the homeland and history of Emirati and Gulf memory. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has chosen her the title of “Arab Girl” after honoring her with the Order of Poetry in the World of Poetry. Popularity in 1989.
