The city of Sinbillawain in Dakahlia Governorate celebrated the marriage of the youngest bride in Egypt, after the sensation that coincided with the news of their engagement six years ago.

The age of the groom Shams did not exceed 13 years and is a student in the second grade preparatory, and the bride Iman was 9 years old in the third grade of primary.

The parents of the bride Shams and Iman, decided to complete the marriage after the groom finished high school certificate, and the bride finished preparatory certificate, according to the newspaper "seventh day."

One of the bride's relatives pointed out that there is a partnership in the work between the parents of the groom and the bride, which led them to agree that there will be a family link between the two and the marriage of their children to each other, to ensure the continuation of the partnership.

Six years ago, pictures and videos of two children dancing to the music of friends and family appeared on the social networking sites, and people referred to this as the first engagement of two children under the age of 13 in Egypt.

Several reports were submitted from different human rights centers to the Attorney General to stop the marriage six years ago, and objected to the idea of ​​engagement, as children and did not reach the legal age, prompting the families to declare that what happened does not exceed the engagement only.
