The owner of a natural hunting reserve was killed after a fierce attack by a lion while repairing the fence of the animal cage, CNN reported.

The predator was attacked when he was fixing his cage fence at his own hunting reserve near Cullinan, South Africa, the newspaper said.

Neighbors rushed to save 70-year-old Leon van Beilun, but they could not.

Beilun owned the reserve visited by tourists to see the lions and how to feed them, and he also had three lions in the reserve: "Rambo" and "Kathuen" and "Nakita", were all killed after the death of its owner.
