Brigadier Ibrahim Musabah Al-Ajil, Director of Criminal Investigation Department at Sharjah Police pointed out the need for community members, especially young people of both sexes, to deal with social media in a positive and correct manner, and not to publish any pictures or videos of others in various locations such as shopping malls, parks and cultural forums, Or even on public roads without their knowledge, so as not to fall under the law.

The urgent brigadier warned of the seriousness of such acts and acts that subject the perpetrator to penalties that may amount to imprisonment and a fine. Article (21) of the IT Crimes Law states that: A penalty of imprisonment for a period not less than six months and a fine of not less than one hundred and fifty thousand. Any person who uses an information network, an electronic information system, or an information technology device to infringe on the privacy of a person in cases other than those legally authorized by one of the following methods: Hearing, objection, or Recording, transmitting, broadcasting or disclosing conversations, communications or Audio or visual material, taking pictures of others, preparing, transmitting, disclosing, copying or retaining electronic images, publishing news, electronic images, photographs, scenes, comments, statements or information, even if they are true and true.

Any person who uses an electronic information system or an information technology device to make any modification or processing of a registration or photograph shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not less than one year and a fine of not less than two hundred and fifty thousand dirhams and not exceeding five hundred thousand dirhams or one of these penalties. Or a scene, with the intent to defame or offend another person, or to violate or violate their privacy. He stressed that the UAE is keen to preserve the privacy of persons by enacting laws that protect and protect the privacy of members of society from violation.
