Surprised cheer erupted at the D23 Fair in Anaheim, California, when the Scottish actor showed up.

- Kathleen, he asked the movie producer Kathleen Kennedy on stage.

- Can you please, in front of all these witnesses, ask me if I should play Obi-Wan Kenobi again?

The answer was, of course, yes, and thus it is confirmed that McGregor is the main character in a "Star wars" series which is simply called "Kenobi".

After all, the now 48-year-old star took over Alec Guinness's role as the Jedi legend in three of the Star Wars films.

Boba Fett

But the new series will start recording next year. When Disney + launches in the US, Canada and the Netherlands on November 12, another good old Star Wars character is set to attract subscribers - Boba Fett. Or at least intrigue about him and other prize hunters on the home planet Mandalore.

The series is called "The Mandalorian", and a trailer has now been posted on Twitter. A third Star wars series is also promised, a "spy series" based on the movie "Rogue one".
