A new study warned of the risk of caesarean section on the health of the child in the future. Scientists said mothers should avoid cesarean section as much as possible, as they increase the risk of their children becoming obese, asthma and immune disorders.

Research suggests that the first bacteria with which a newborn is communicated play a key role in determining his or her health for life, according to the Daily Mail.

Naturally born babies are exposed to a host of beneficial bacteria as they pass through the birth canal, while children born by caesarean section are deprived of it, increasing their risk of obesity, asthma and immune disorders, the researchers at King's College London said.
