Sotheby's auction house sold a luxury car maker Aston Martin, which appeared in one of James Bond's Goldenfinger films for $ 6,385,000. The car received strong applause when it was shown to auction participants.

According to Motor Trend, the car applause came first when the former James Bond car appeared on the stage at the Portola Plaza Hotel, after showing short footage of the old movie in which the car appeared. Bidding for the customer 007 began quickly and steadily. Six bidders tried to win the car either. One bidder offered $ 4,500,000 to get the car, and another bidder offered $ 5 million, so the bid would cool down slightly and the amount added to the price would be lower. The auction took about five minutes before the auction was settled.

The Aston Martin DB5 was produced specifically for the Golden Finger film. It was equipped with an automatic gun, an armored layer, a navigation system and other tools added when the car was manufactured. The DB5 was later used to promote the next part of the James Bond film series. The car was renovated in Switzerland in 2012 and was able to work the way it did in the film.

Estimates of the price of the car before it was put up for auction ranged between $ 4 million and $ 6 million, so the final sale price at the auction, which amounted to about six million and 385 thousand dollars falls to five million and 800 thousand dollars, and after deducting the commission of the auction house is a good price.
