Hayabusa2 Capsule Return to Australian Desert at the end of next year, August 22 18:02

JAXA = Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency reveals plans to drop into the same Australian desert at the end of next year for the return capsule of the spacecraft Hayabusa 2 that successfully landed twice on the asteroid I made it.

“Ryugu”, an asteroid approximately 300 million kilometers away from the Earth, has been exploring since June last year, and Hayabusa2 has been successfully landed twice so far with a capsule that appears to contain asteroid rocks. It is planned to enter the Earth's atmosphere and collect it.

JAXA held a press conference and unveiled a plan to drop this capsule into the desert called Woomera in Australia, the same as the first machine, from November to December next year.

The place to drop must be in the southern hemisphere due to orbital relations, and since there was a track record of the first unit, it was negotiated with the Australian space agency and agreed in a big way.

JAXA's Makoto Yoshikawa mission manager says, "I want to proceed carefully and prepare for the return."
