Five large parrots were stolen at a pet shop in Fukuoka Prefecture, and the police are investigating that damages including the birds designated as endangered species will total 1.7 million yen.

On the 19th of this month, at the Bird Center Asakura, a pet shop specializing in birds in Hiramatsu, Asakura City, a store manager who came to work and found out that five large parrots had disappeared was reported to the police.

According to the store, it was stolen that a total of five parakeets including “Yeomu” designated as an endangered species, totaling 1.7 million yen.

In this pet shop, parakeets were put in a birdcage about 80 cm high, but when the manager came to work, the basket was gone.

The police are investigating it as a theft case because there was a trace that was forcibly plucked on the door of the pet shop and the screen door of the window was also torn.

Pet shop manager Yasunori Tanaka said, “When I came to see the birds as usual, I was surprised that the baskets were gone.
