Reportedly, former president Hyun-Suk Yang enjoyed baccarat in a private VIP room at the Las Vegas MGM Hotel Casino in January 2018. According to the data sent by the Nevada Casino Association, former presidents gambled for 17 hours, excluding breaks and meals.

A game of baccarat takes about one minute, with 60 games in one hour and 1070 games in 17 hours. Yang is known to have paid an average of about 4 million won for a baccarat, which is more than 4 billion won in 17 hours.

In the news room, former president Hyun-Suk Yang deposited cash in the casino 1.5 billion won from January 2014 to January this year, changing chips from time to time, and withdrawing 11 chips in total. 60 million won, and in October 2017, 70 million won was also changed. He also said that when chip exchange was cumbersome, he borrowed 100 to 200 million won on credit and used it for gambling.
