Taylor Swift is planning to re-record her first six albums. She decided this after her former record company Big Machine Records sold the rights for her music to manager Scooter Braun, with whom the singer has a dispute.

Swift announces the plans in an interview with CBS This Morning that will be broadcasted in full on Sunday. She replies affirmatively to the question whether there are serious plans to re-record all songs.

Swift released her first six albums with Big Machine Records, but decided to switch to Republic Records for her seventh album Lover, which will be released on Friday. Before her switch, Swift wanted to regain the rights over her music, but was unable to reach an agreement with label boss Scott Borchetta. Swift wrote this in an extensive story on Tumblr, to which Borchetta responded that the singer distorts the truth.

The reason for Swift's decision to dive into the studio again is the purchase of Big Machine Records by Braun, manager of artists such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Swift feels bullied by Braun and does not want him to become the owner of her music. When Swift re-records and releases the albums, she becomes the owner of those new recordings.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Swift had already sold more than a million copies of her forthcoming release Lover . On this album the hits ME! and You Need To Calm Down .
