The Dubai Performing Arts Program, dedicated to supporting film, musical and theatrical talent, will include diverse and intensive workshops titled “Tales under the Ghaf Tree”, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (DAC) revealed. High social, human, cultural and aesthetic values, and the technical program contributes to enhancing communication and dialogue opportunities.

The program will start in the first week of September and will run until the end of November. It offers a range of workshops that focus on discovering, supporting and developing the talents of emerging citizens and residents, developing their skills and refining their expertise in the areas of performing arts.

Fatima Al-Jallaf, Director of the Performing Arts Department at the Authority, stressed the importance of the artistic program, which is a leap in the field of talent discovery and support. She said: «The program is characterized by its comprehensiveness, richness of its content and the depth of its workshops, in line with Dubai's approach to support and stimulate creativity and creators, and consolidate its presence as incubator of talent in various fields, as this technical program emerged from the extensive study to develop programs that will have a positive impact Tangible in various fields of performing arts, and qualify generations to complete the march of art and his lofty mission ».

Al-Jallaf pointed out that the program communicates the message of tolerance, harmony and coexistence in society, and openness to other human cultures, and harnesses all means of support for the participants to contribute to the upgrading of their abilities and skills and prepare a creative generation. “In addition to the innovative ideas that we offer, we aim to create a generation that keeps pace with our country's excellence.”

The Director of the Performing Arts Department at the Authority said that Dubai Culture pays great attention to this artistic program because of its belief in the ability of talented people to change society for the better, and their active role in development and starting towards the future.

The theater will open the Dubai Performing Arts Program, where workshops on theater arts will be held under the supervision of a group of specialized trainers from inside and outside the country, targeting young people and girls from the age of 15 and above, and aim to hone their skills in scientific, practical and academic ways, in addition to rehabilitation and empowerment through explaining concepts This course helps them develop their creative, physical and cognitive abilities, build their personalities, and give them confidence to continue to lead the procession and complete the journey.

The workshops pass through several stages, ranging from playwriting, through acting and performance, and the scenography, visual vision, music, audiovisual techniques and the basics of installation, production and completion of the presentation, and to arbitration and theatrical criticism. The workshops are part of Dubai Culture's preparations to launch the 13th edition of the Dubai Youth Theater Festival 2020.

With the Musical Arts Program - targeting age groups between 7 and 25 - a range of specialized workshops seek to explore musical potential and talent. The Film Arts Program - targeting youth and girls aged 15 and above - also has workshops on screenwriting, criticism, and film directing.
