BERLIN (Reuters) - A brawl between two large Arab families has temporarily paralyzed traffic on a road in the German capital Berlin amid a massive police deployment.

The police, who are continuing their investigation, announced the cause of the quarrel and questioned those involved.

One man, 46, was cut in the upper arm, while another 40, who was stabbed in the back, was taken to hospital.

The brawl took place amid the gathering of up to 100 people to follow up, forcing the police to ask many of them to leave the area immediately.

Members of the two families had initially quarreled inside a café, but the quarrel soon moved to the sidewalk in a later development. According to eyewitness accounts, bottles were hurled at several cars.

Members of the families in the Neukölln district of Berlin quarreled and the two groups were separated by the police.
