Easy Rider, arguably the film and the most iconic role in Peter Fonda's career, is a film he co-wrote with Dennis Hopper and Peter Southern. Shot in just 7 weeks on a small budget, the film, released in 1969, celebrates the free, rebellious and anti-system spirit of the Woodstock generation.

Son of the famous actor Henry founded, and little brother of Jane Fonda, Peter is very quickly distinguished by anti-conformist roles. It becomes one of the faces of this new Hollywood that breaks the codes and where all the movies do not necessarily have a happy ending.
