Died composer Roman Ledenyov


In Moscow, at the age of 88, the national artist of Russia, composer Roman Ledenyov, died. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Union of Cinematographers.

“We are bitterly informed that Roman Semenovich Ledenyov left us on August 15, 2019 ... the winner of the State Prize of Russia, the oldest professor at the composition department of the Moscow Conservatory, an authoritative member of the Composers Guild of the Union of Russian Filmmakers,” the obituary says on the organization’s website.

Roman Ledenyov composed music for the films The Poem on Wings, The Strange Woman, The Entire Royal Army, Uncle's Dream, and other paintings.

On August 5, at the age of 82, the author of the music for the song “The Snow Is Spinning” Sergey Berezin died.
