Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen on 16th to normal operation August 15th 19:18

With the approach of Typhoon No. 10, the Sanyo Shinkansen was suspended, and the operation of each Shinkansen was greatly affected on the 15th. On the other hand, JR West, JR Kyushu, and JR Tokai will operate as usual from the first train on the 16th.

According to JR companies, the Sanyo Shinkansen was canceled between Shin-Osaka and Kokura from the first train on the 15th to the end, and the number was reduced between Kokura and Hakata.

In addition, the Kyushu Shinkansen has been banned from direct operation with the Sanyo Shinkansen on the 15th and has been reduced in number.

Furthermore, the Tokaido Shinkansen canceled direct operation with the Sanyo Shinkansen on the 15th, and suspended 55 buses, 13% of the total.

On the other hand, regarding the Shinkansen on the 16th, JR West and JR Kyushu, and JR Tokai both operate as usual from the first train.

Of these, JR West will operate two additional temporary trains from Hakata and Hiroshima in the early morning of the 16th.

On the 16th and 17th, JR Tokai has decided to operate 13 trains on the Tokaido Shinkansen “Nozomi”.
