An academic report revealed that the Federal Republic of Germany is the most preferred non-English-speaking host country for students from all over the world.

Most foreign students enrolled in universities in Germany in 2016 after the United States, Britain and Australia, thus replacing France as the most preferred non-English speaking country.

This was stated in the report `` Science open to the world 2019 '' which the German Academic Exchange and the German Center for Higher Education and Scientific Research intend to present.

According to the report, the number of foreigners studying in German universities and did not complete secondary education in Germany, 252 thousand people in 2016, more than the number observed in 2015 by 16 thousand students, and the number of students in France by about 6000 students.

The report confirmed that the numbers increased after 2016 as well, as the number of foreign students enrolled in Germany in the winter semester (2017/18) 282 thousand people.
