It was last week that a YouTube user and blogger described how YouTube's algorithms can direct users to clips and comments that sexualize children.

Subsequently, it became known that advertisements from several large companies, such as Disney, Epic games and McDonald's, must have appeared in connection with the film clips. It has caused companies to stop, or pause, their advertising on the video platform. That's what Variety writes.

Hundreds of accounts are suspended

The controversy should have caused Youtube to shut down over 400 accounts and channels, and disable comment fields on tens of millions of movie clips.

This is not the first time that ads may have appeared in connection with offensive content on Youtube. In 2017, several companies withdrew their ads after reports that they could have figured in connection with extremist content.
