Today at 14 o'clock the verdict against the artist ASAP Rocky and two people from his tour company who are charged with assault in central Stockholm. Follow SVT Nyheter's live reporting from 13:30.

On July 2, rapper ASAP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested on suspicion of an assault that took place on June 30 in central Stockholm. Two of the artist's friends in the tour company are suspected of interference and on July 5, the three men were arrested.

ASAP Rocky's bodyguard also reportedly sued, but the suspicions against him were dropped.

International attention

The case has attracted a lot of international attention and US President Donald Trump has commented on the incident. Among other things, he has contacted Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S), offered to pay the bail, something that does not exist in Sweden, and sent an envoy for hostage situations to the trial of the star.

On July 25, the prosecutor brought charges against ASAP Rocky and his two friends. Five days later, the trial started in Stockholm District Court. It lasted for three days and the three men were released after the negotiations ended.

Professed to prison

The prosecutor has called for ASAP Rocky to be sentenced to six months in prison for assault.
