Olivia Colman did not find it easy to take over the role of Queen Elizabeth in the series The Crown from actress Claire Foy. The Oscar winner even imitated her predecessor during the first shooting days. She tells Entertainment Weekly .

"It is just like the classical pieces that I play in. Everyone has already played that role," says Colman. "The first week I noticed that I was following Claire's expressions. I was thinking about how she would do it," says the actress.

Colman emphasizes that she found it difficult to succeed Foy, who received much praise for her interpretation of the British queen. "It's terrible. Everyone loves Claire Foy, so I have the hardest job in the world right now," she jokes.

Colman, who won an Oscar earlier this year for her role in the film The Favorite , is for the first time to be seen as Queen Elizabeth in the third season of The Crown , which will be screened from November.
