UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has directed the launch of the UAE Vocational School as the largest executive and vocational education system in the UAE and the region aimed at bridging the gap between the academic experience of youth and the practical needs of the labor market. It is a non-traditional school that applies the principle of collective participation to the executive education system, and provides a renewed participatory environment based on experiences, professional studies and practical programs in partnership with institutions, experts, professionals and specialists.

The launch of the school coincides with the UAE's celebration of World Youth Day, which falls on Monday. This new educational institution, with its pioneering educational and training model of its kind, is a gesture of a series of initiatives and programs adopted by the UAE to rehabilitate the youth sector in all developmental fields as the pillar of Renaissance. As part of a forward-looking vision, it provides human resources equipped with all the academic, scientific and professional tools to lead the future development process.

Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Federal Youth Foundation, said: “The Vocational School for UAE Youth provides an unconventional educational experience that bridges the gap between the academic scientific experience and the rapidly changing labor market amid the development of professional sectors. New jobs need practical training and special tools. "

"This institution will embrace the concept of lifelong vocational qualification as an experience that will keep up with theoretical education and enhance it and provide it with new expertise and qualifications, especially in the sectors of future jobs."

“The Vocational School will be the largest educational and vocational institution of its kind offering hundreds of outstanding programs by relying on the collective participation model, by attracting the best specialized expertise and professional experiences in the global labor market and presenting them to the UAE youth,” she added.

Al Mazrouei pointed out that "this initiative reinforces the approach established by our wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and translates the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in harnessing everything the state has." The potential and wealth in empowering the youth of the homeland, men and women, being the most precious assets they are proud of, and the belief of the wise leadership that the best training and equipping of young people ensures the building of the future state on solid foundations.

Al Mazrouei explained that the Federal Youth Foundation will supervise partnerships with the concerned parties and individuals in the institutions of the public and private sectors to submit their proposals regarding vocational programs, training courses and executive courses free of charge to young people.
