34 years after the crash of the Nikko Aircraft

On the 12th, 34 years after the crash of the Nikko Jumbo aircraft that killed 520 people, the climbing of the memorial service of the bereaved family continues in Ueno Village, Gunma Prefecture.

On August 12, 1985, a Japan Airlines jumbo plane carrying a return home from Obon crashed in the mountains of Ueno-mura, Gunma Prefecture, and 520 people, the most common aircraft accident in Japan, were sacrificed.

On the 12th, 34 years after the accident, in Ueno Village, climbing a memorial service aimed at the “Osutaka Ridge” at the crash site continued, with flowers and incense sticks on the graves of those who died.

In addition, in front of the memorial monument "Shoshinno no monument" at the site of the crash, we were holding hands together and mourning the victims.

In addition, bereaved family members and locals participated in the memorial service for the victims, and children prayed for the safety of the sky by flying soap bubbles all at once.

In the evening, a memorial ceremony will be held at the “Garden Garden” at the base, and a silence will be held at 6:56 pm.

34 years have passed since the accident, and the survivors are aging, so the issue is how to convey the memory of the accident to the next generation.
